After taking a quick bit of time off last week, the PlayStation Store is back with another sale. And this one just so happens to be a big one. It's the bumper range of Spring discounts that will see us through until midnight on 28th April 2021, but not all of the games listed below will stick around until then. With a sale refresh due two weeks from now, select titles will be taken away on the same date. We recommend checking the PS Store listings of the deals you're most interested in to see how long you've got to take advantage of them. All discounts are live across both the UK, EU, and US storefronts right now, so let's get straight into things.
For those of you lucky enough to own a PS5, Yakuza: Like a Dragon has been cut in price to £38.49/$41.99, Godfall is £39.89/$39.89, and The Pedestrian already goes on sale at £9.09/$13.99. Hitman 3 is then £41.24/$44.99, Assassin's Creed Valhalla is discounted to £38.39/$40.19, and NBA 2K21 is £48.74/$52.49. DIRT 5 is also just £21.99/$23.99, which is the cheapest the racer has gotten yet. So, sorry folks, still no Demon's Souls or Sackboy: A Big Adventure in this round of deals. Maybe next time?
However, it's within the PS4 discounts where things get good. Both The Last of Us: Part II and Ghost of Tsushima are being sold at their lowest ever digital prices. The former is £23.64/$29.99 while the tale of Jin Sakai comes down to £31.34/$40.19. Then there's 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim once again down at £24.99/$35.99, the Deluxe Edition of Persona 5 Royal is £24.74/$31.49, and Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom drops to just £6.71/$8.99. Red Dead Redemption 2 is then £27.49/$29.99, Fuser can be picked up for £25.79/$29.99, the recent Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Remastered Edition is £14.99/$17.99, and Dreams comes in at £17.49/$12.99.
For a full list of all PS5 and PS4 games included in the PS Store Spring sale, UK and EU users should use this link while US readers can head on through here. If neither link works for you, we recommend using PS Prices. What will you be picking up this week? Share your digital haul in the comments below.

My bank balance remains unchanged looking at the full list, sure some ok-ish highlights mentioned in article the rest of it is just the same old recycled games with some of them at higher prices than they've been before in other sales.
Going to pick up Ghost of Tsushima Finally. Been waiting to play this for ages.
The fact Sony have still not discounted Demon Souls is a huge middle finger to the Digital Edition owners!
So much so that I’ve bought a Series S now, and loaded up game pass for the next 12 months.
I expect I won’t buy on my PS5 until maybe Ratchet and Clank
(Edit: working now in all links, including on the console)
Original: Nothing about this on the ps5 store page or the uk web page, or the ps app - where are you seeing this?
@Playstation maybe they don’t need to because its already and continuing to sell a ton?
Do you know sales numbers Mr Playstation? 😂
@Palleon The link is right in the article. People should read things.
Not trying to be argumentative, but why would Sony discount Demons Souls 🤔 its one of the few PS5 native titles currently on the market, and PS5 is still flying off shelves as soon as it is restocked, meaning people are likely to pick the game up to show off what the console can do. There is a difference between people wanting a discount, and it making business sense to Sony.
Very disappointing sale. I picked up disk versions of Yakuza and Hitman 3 for a lot cheaper then they are in the current sale. Some games just never go on sale been waiting for Beat saber to go on sale
Great! I buy some games.
@Rob_230 They don't need to mate, it's just what people have been asking for! I myself would love that Sackboy discount, but I've already bought and finished Demon's Souls.
@Playstation it worked for me. Purchased on launch. In fact, this was the key factor to purchase the console.
To be honest I expected better, the only good one is TLoU2, but I'm gonna wait for PS5 patch before buying this one. Don't want to finish the game and then puff PS5 patch is here as it happened with GoW or Ratchet lol.
GoT waiting for deal for £25
I will get PS+ instead and spend some time with PS+ collection and monthly games in the meantime.
@Playstation That Game is only like 4 months old lmao.
Dreams is at a good price, as is Persona 5 Royal. Obviously some other good deals on PS4 but I already have GoT and TLoU 2.
@Bliquid No-one in this comment section mentioned anything about how the game should be free, stop jumping to childish extremes.
May have to finally pick up Yakuza Like A Dragon and P5 Royal! A pretty poor sale overall but we still got another half of games to come.
Just another sale with nothing worth buying.
I can’t remember the last time I wanted to spend ridiculous amounts of money on the PlayStation store because the prices were just too good to pass up. That’s what a sale should be IMO. Not this... same old, same old.
Can’t wait for the next sale when most of the games will be exactly the same price as they are in this sale... and the sale before that... and the sale before that... and the...
Reckon I’ll finally be picking up TLOU2 at that price
@Rob_230 Right?? I haven’t seen a physical sale on Demon’s Souls either LOL. It’ll probably go on sale this Xmas when Horizon is released. Maybe a nice $20 off the price, if that.
How in the hell is RDR2 still 30 bucks? The game is 2 years older than GoT and yet as expensive as it. Damn
Let me see. What I can buy.
@Palleon
Just checked, nothing on the PS4 store for me, either. Still has the old ones good through today.
Well that was nothing to get excited about was it. Hundreds of those games have been cheaper in previous sales, and the rest of them are still way over priced anyway! Or just flat out rubbish!
Maybe Sony finally recognised the Nintendo strategy of permanent high prices for their first party titles, and now they adopt this to their PS5 titles. Why not? The quality of their output is high enough.
@JapaneseSonic but anyone digital could get it for 60 (or less, in fact) via discounted PSN credit anyway?
Nothing for me really. Everything I want I already have & everything else isn’t what I want or would pay for.
One Piece: World Seeker is just over £10, but I don’t know if I should go for it based on the reviews...
@Max_the_German If so then GoT wouldnt have a Discount already. Not sure why people expect to get like 30 Bucks off a Games that are only a few months old lol
The PS App really sucks. Most of the time, I’m just looking at a black screen and if I drag down to refresh, the whole thing crashes 😭
These prices are kinda...
Well, not terrible, but also not terribly enticing, at least compared to physical sales in recent days as well. Or even compared to recent PSN sales.
@Max_the_German
The reason Nintendo can get away from that, aside from conditioning people to pay higher prices in the first place, is because people keep buying their games at higher prices for years to come. Switch games from 2017 and 2018 are still regularly charting in the UK and around the world without substantive price cuts.
With that said, there's the usual early-gen software drought, and PS5 owners are likely hungry for software built for the system. Maybe they're taking advantage of that while they can.
Demon's souls won't come down in price until returnal hits the shelves. The thing is, i'm not the biggest souls fan anyway, so now the hype has died down, i'm prepared to wait long time ten dollar!
Is it just me or is the webstore hot garbage? No screenshots or trailer videos when you click on a game title? Why wouldn't they check out a game before you buy it?
I get that these days people will do their own research and use youtube / other reviews etc to learn more about a game, but still...
@LiamCroft Haha oh yeah of course. Sorry Liam, i wasn't questioning your comment in the article, more questioning some of the comments being posted above demanding a sale on it.
It just feels like the reaction to the fact its not gone on sale is further feeding into the anti-playstation sentiment that seems to be so prevalent these days. Its quite tiring to be honest.
As for Sackboy, when you do get it, i hope you enjoy. I have only played the first world so far (too distracted with Persona 5 Strikers to tackle my PS5 backlog just yet), but it is wildly inventive and enjoyable. The boss battles are great!
@Zudeo i saw Demons Souls on sale for about 55 quid in January - but it can still be picked up for 62 on Base.com today.
I payed 63 at launch i think. I can definitely say ive not made my money back on that one lol. I am still at the very start. I must go back to it and give it another go! The PushSquare community is great at helping newbies to the franchise get started
@Playstation they're totally testing us to see how long were able to wait for a price drop
@kyleforrester87 Nah, you wouldn't like it.
@NateGoesLive did you seriously think going digital would have made gaming cheaper?
No offence but should have stayed with physical consoles till they pull the plug, otherwise you've absolutely no choice to shop around.
This is EXACTLY the position Sony want..lock you in digital then drip feed sales to appear like steam but keep certain titles max price for as long as they can.
Picked up TLOU2 physical for £17.99 the other week. Waiting for sub £25 before I take the plunge on GoT. I still have God of War, Days Gone, Uncharted 4 amongst other bigger hitters to play through anyway so no rush from me to get titles at full price. Demon's Souls is pricey for a remake though, no matter how pretty it looks or how much content it has. Hopefully this doesn't set a precedent for future remakes.
@Col_McCafferty I know, but I tend to give crappy games a fair shake anyway. Tried Red Dead Redemption 2 twice now, awful game.
(Although I probably will enjoy TLOU2, the gameplay in 1 was pretty fun at its best)
@stu123 Nice one bud on just taking a bit of time out to shop around for good deals.They are out there,maybe not loads but just like with everything else just be careful.
Yakuza like a dragon, hitman 3 and godfall have been cheaper than this for the past month or more on most online retailers and even Amazon in some cases. The digital eco-system just seems like a way to trick people out of their money to me by offering falsely inflated prices to begin with. Digital future ftw! Games can become cheaper without a physical production cost etc... Blah blah blah... Bah humbug... Mumble mumble...
Just had a look on platprices since the store link doesn't work https://platprices.com/en-us/news/687-psn-sale-march-31-2021-united-states i didnt have much hope for this sale and i'm still let down.
@PaperAlien As I said, at the time of commenting, the uk web store didn’t have the offers (which they had linked in the article). It does now.
Maybe reading is a skill you need to work on, rather than making ***** comments.
@kyleforrester87 Twice? Very persistent of you.
Nah, Part II isn't for the likes of you. Don't waste your time.
😉
@Col_McCafferty maybe you should give some good games a shot, I can recommend Nier Automata, Hyper Light Drifter and Fez off the top of my head
@ThePizzaMule I've noticed that with Rockstar games they always hold their value for a long time and they're the only company that do i think?
Think i am gonna pass on this sale and go on a digital Ps3 buying spree instead
@kyleforrester87 Oh I play plenty of good games, don't you worry.
Nier kind of interests me but not heard of the other two.
In all seriousness though if you have a PS5 it might be worth waiting for news on TLoU 2, maybe they'll upgrade it for free or maybe they'll sell it on PS5 only alongside Factions. If you've got to the point without taking the plunge then you may be better off waiting for official word on the PS5 version.
@Palleon Come on guys you're better than that #Shutupmeg
Has anyone noticed something weird going on with Dirt 5? The ps4 version appears to be free atm. It says PS4 and PS5 and I have it in my queue. It was £0.00 so I'm not sure what it is I'm actually gonna be downloading. Might be a huge mistake listing on sonys part.
@Rainsmith appears to be the trial version?
But anyway I am hoping Sackboy will join the list in two weeks
@Col_McCafferty yeah I might do that, although by all accounts the PS4 version is visually stunning anyway. I’ll see if I’m feeling bored over the long Easter weekend. I haven’t had the energy to play anything except Diablo 3 after work recently - crazy that I’ve been coming back to that game across 3 generations of hardware now.
@kyleforrester87 It would've been good to know what games are coming to Plus in April before the Easter weekend. From the Play at Home I downloaded a couple but all my attention has been on Horizon Zero Dawn. Going to start Uncharted The Lost Legacy over the weekend as well, just to mix things up a bit.
@Playstation in that case what grounds is there for them to lower the price 😂
If they are making bank on a £70 game, the platforms only ‘new gen’ exclusive, for a console that still isn’t widely available, then there is no reason to lower the price atm.
Kerbal Space Program is tempting at £8; but does anyone know if the terrible performance was ever fixed? Maybe the PS4 simply can't handle it.
Might pick up like a dragon. Didn't enjoy Yakuza 3 only did the first few chapters controls felt dated and wasn't enjoying it got 4,5,6 still so might just give 3 another go in a few months. Also tempted to get Witcher 3 game of year edition only £9 in preparation for the ps5 version only played the main game and never got around to the dlc. Was hoping for like a dragon to be on sale so that was good.
What's peoples' take on Persona 5 Royal vs standard Persona 5 edition? I have the latter for free through PS+ Collection and was wondering whether it's worth spending £25 for Royal.
Other than that Witcher 3 Complete Edition is 80% off (not mentioned in the article). I've completely skipepd through the last-gen, so looking forward to play this one finally. But I'll probably wait for the PS5 patch before that.
@Col_McCafferty I believe they will announce the April PS+ games today around 3pm UK time
@Playstation The sole reason I got a PS5 was
for Demon's soul but I refuse to pay $70 for it (or any game) so I'm right there with you. I'm rooting for games like Sackboy and Miles (fantastic games!) to sell very well and I want all $70 games to bomb hard.
@Juanalf the sole reason you bought a console at launch was for a game that was announced at 70 dollars (well before the launch) but you then refused to buy that game because it was 70 dollars?
@misak192 Cool!
Obvious PS5 owners get the new Oddsworld game but not sure about us PS4 peasants.
😉
@Weebleman Yes that's correct, or more specific it was the driving force. However I'm in no rush, like I said Sackboy is excellent and there's plenty of stuff for me to play. The only bad PS5 game I've experienced was Destruction but everything else has been excellent.
The link isn't loading anything. It's also not the the PS app yet either for me
@Juanalf Fair play then. Definitely agree sackboy is excellent. Also agree Destruction Allstars is not.
@Fight_Teza_Fight
if you enjoy the One Piece manga/anime...play the game. it's just nice to be with Luffy and the crew.
Debating whether or not to buy Streets of Rage 4 (which is from the $20 and under Sale)...
From the Spring Sale, maybe Catherine, Sakura Wars, GhoTsu, TLOU 2 or 13 Sentinels...though honestly probably none. I have so many JRPGs left to play on my backlog.
I recommend gunvolt series to anyone that like 2D action game like megaman
@stevie85. I bought a brand new physical copie of 👻 ghost of tshushima on ebay.cant wait.haha.word up son
@playstation1995 Nice. Mine has finished downloading. Once 4PM cames and I can clock off. I'm gettijg straight into it 🥳
Sony trying to kill off Demon Souls at £69.99 and Sackboy at £59.99.
Both these games are in desperate need of a discount if they actually want to shift PS5 Digital consoles.
Demon Souls can be had for £50 physical and Sackboy for £48.
Neither of these 2 games are in the UK Top 40 Game Chart for 22nd March either. Only Spiderman MM at #3.
@Playstation you say “rip off customers” but has anyone who paid £70 said they felt ripped off? Because everyone that bought the game seems to have loved it. It certainly garnered rave reviews and just cause Sony never published sales data doesn’t mean anything. They took around 3 months longer than PS4 to say how many consoles had been sold 🤷🏻♂️
Seems like a personal choice being made by yourself to not buy these games a full price. You assume Returnal is going to be a flop, but the same could have been said for Days Gone and that sold a ridiculous amount compared to what the initial narrative might have suggested.
I personally purchase first party and second party exclusives at full price because I know that the quality on offer is incredible. And I want to support those making the game.
Also, Ratchet and Horizon will not suffer at all, thats just nonsense tbh.
Got dreams for 10 bucks a couple sales ago.
@JapaneseSonic Thanks for the reply! £25 will not break the bank, but I guess my question is whether "bigger and better" is enough to justify the extra price, considering I have a standard version for free and for the similar price I can get another full game like Ghost of Tsushima.
If the added features are making up for a complete different experience, then Royal would make sense
@ThePizzaMule yeah I bought RDR2 at this same sale price last summer. That's Rockstar I guess.
@blinx01 What about people who have no interest in disc-based media, prefer the convenience of digital games, and who aren't bothered in the slightest about trade-in or purchase price because they aren't poor?
Do you think they'd buy a disc console where the drive would never get any use?
So many questions....
** So Dirt5 is showing as free on the ps5 store ? Just got it no strings attached? Is this a mistake?
@ShiningStar i'm not poor, but i refuse to pay £70 for any game. It's about being a team player at this point. Only the iphone owners are paying £70, because they're too scared of missing out on day 1 conversations. £70 is affordable to me, but far from acceptable.
I made the leap from Xbox Series S to PS5 last month (I'd been trying to get one since launch), and immediately subscribed to PS Now and Plus. Since this is the first Playstation I've ever owned, you can imagine the backlog I immediately acquired with the PS Plus Collection as well as the purchase of Spider-Man and Miles Morales. So while I'm currently enthralled by Uncharted 4, Horizon Zero Dawn, Crash Bandicoot N-Sane Trilogy, etc., I did pick up Ghost of Tsushima and Witcher III in this sale and can't wait to jump into the former. Since I've already played through a hefty portion of Witcher III on Xbox I can wait for the next-gen upgrade to launch a new playthrough. I haven't had this much gaming fun in years!
@GrimWillows I think you’re looking at the trial.
Think i will grab dirt 5 for a rainy day...demon souls in ebay can be grabbed for £30...still havnt got round to it yet but i will at some point..
@awp69 yeah I just realised that. While it's downloading it says dirt 5 but once it installs it changes the dash icon description to trial. A little misleading. The deno is the full install size to buy the unlock.
@ShiningStar I didn't know that if you choose the PS5 with the disc drive, it makes you automatically poor? What kind of logic is that?
How long is the sale?
between these games which one do, u recommend buying??
The Pedestrian
Disintegration
HITMAN 3 - Standard Edition
@blinx01 Digital prices have never been tied to Market demand. (on every console) It is 1 store with zero competition.
Real question - is "convenience" worth buying into that?. Basically making hardware makers your gaming gatekeeper.
Never has been for me. Best to keep both options open.
@KnightRider1982 spring sale is 30 days but there are 2 waves in this sale this is the first wave which ends in 14 days and then the next wave starts. What, I mean by the wave is at end of each wave these games take off from sale and add new games to sale!
@Loftimus
"i'm not poor, but I refuse to pay £70 for any game"
Exactly. I can afford tons of things, but still needs to be worth owning it at that price to me.
Same as Returnal, not worth $70 to me. I can just rent it on Day 1 and finish it. If I love it - I can always buy it someday when dirt cheap
@Jacko11 True.... he is just whining and whining about some of these prices and make it sound these games are doom because of it without no actual data to back it up. He will probably buy the next God of War as cheap as possible while also demanding for greatness from it.
Like it or not, he (and everyone else) will have to get use to the price hike, because most AAA games (from all big publishers, not just Sony; people seem to think it is only Sony that's going to be doing this which is really naive) are going to start selling their only next-gen games at £70 by probably next year (the only reason games like Resident Evil Village are still £60 is because the game is still cross-gen, simple as that).
Also, the comment section is awfully full of whining (I guess is usual for a site like this, which is sad) just for a games spring sale. The game(s) I wanted didn't went of sale therefore I will just whine (like it matters).
Demon's Souls will eventually go on sale and the discounts will be DEEP. it's a very niche game for which the niche is willing to pay any amount of money, and the non-niche is barely willing to pay any amount of money to get it. So it's a game that at full price is 100% constrained by physical console availability alone. They won't have a desire to discount it before console demand, and thus full price demand for the game, is met. Discounts come after the initial launch wave of day one buyers slows to a crawl. On a normal game that's a few weeks after release. But for Souls that'll be a few weeks after PS5's start sitting on shelves for days or weeks everywhere so everyone that wanted to pay $70 for it has done so.
Once it reaches that point I expect sales on the game to crash through the floor and discounts to $40 or below to happen quickly. I also wouldn't be surprised at all of it's a + freebie in maybe 2-3 years. By then sales of the game will be near-zero, and it's a good PR push to give away a big game that doesn't have a paying audience anymore.
@kyleforrester87 RDR2 might be a great game if you get far enough, but I spent all my time in it accidentally shooting the sheriff and paying off bail because the developers have never used a modern video game controller and didn't know that you're not supposed to map "talk" to commonly accepted "aim and fire hipshot" buttons.
@NEStalgia yeah just not fun to actually play moment to moment. The thought of “parking my horse”, walking across the street and entering a building became genuinely painful. The game has plenty of other positives sure but I just felt like I was trying to do everything while wearing lead boots and nursing a hangover.
@JapaneseSonic just for me, personally, I found it quite stressful and unenjoyable (I had problems with the weird contrast between the strict on-rail mission design versus the open ended between mission sections too). Most of the games I love (the afore mentioned HLD, Diablo 3, Nier) all really nail the feel of the character you’re controlling so it’s obviously an element that I think is necessary for it to be a “good game”.
@ShiningStar
I don't think it's a question of people being poor.
Some gamers will want to trade in games if they are the 'one and done' variety and may never play them again.
I'm a digital gamer myself with a PS5 Digital console.
I've regretted it slightly as Sony seem very stubborn on the £70 price for games, which I refuse to pay unless they are a must-have. For example, I didn't mind paying that for Spiderman MM Ultimate.
For others, I'll simply wait for a price drop. I game on multiple console and PC, so I don't mind waiting.
The only game deal for me is witcher3 complete edition for $8. US. I played original years ago and was looking for a reason to play again
@JapaneseSonic
Yepp.
That’s why I bought a physical PS5.
It gives me more options for finding games cheaper.
Not only that, but due to bandwidth caps (350 gigs a month) on my network, it makes sense for me to buy physical when I can. The only games I buy exclusively digital are multiplayer games. Single player, I’m getting a disc just so I can save data every month.
@kyleforrester87
I’m in the same boat. I didn’t really care for RDR 2. I loved the first one; it was my last 360 game before I traded it for a PS3 and it was the only game I ever got all of the achievements for. It literally sucked a year of my life away.
I think I was just disappointed with RDR 2 more than anything else. It’s a beautiful game with a wonderfully designed world. But I really disliked the micromanagement aspects of it plus I think they went way too far into “realism” for both Arthur’s movement and just the way the game was structured.
@ShiningStar
It’s not a matter of being poor.
Gaming is an expensive hobby. I’m not poor but I’m certainly not rich. So I’m a price conscious gamer. There are some games I buy on day one (like Ratchet PS5, which I already have pre ordered) but most of the time I wait for good sales to pick up games.
The less I spend on games the more money I can spend on mods for my car. And I’m fixing to trade that joker on a Jeep Wrangler JL so I’m going to be blowing a ton of money doing mods on it.
Seems a very good spring sale this year though I think my bank balance might think otherwise!
Picked up F1 2020, F1 2019, F1 2018 and Bus Simulator as been waiting for them to go back on sale, 75% off each F1 game with the DLC content seems a good saving!
50% off Bus Simulator seemed good too, like real life buses but this will be my first time driving them in a video game.
Much like the Xbox spring sale, every game I wanted to buy is still cheaper to buy new on disc.
I’ll scroll through the full listing later to see if there’s anything worth getting that I can’t get hold of cheaper on disc though!
@awp69 yeah you were right. It's odd as it shows as the full game while installing and changes to trial after install.
